“Ohhh sorry, no english, Español”
Then I was like ‘ok, shit, how do I say hurry the fuck up in Spanish?!’
And that’s when I realised I couldn’t even say that to him!
I thought I could say some things in Spanish because I’d been learning words on DuoLingo
But when I needed it most, I didn’t know how to construct a sentence, let alone speak it!
That’s when I realised ...
“My Spanish Absolutely Sucked”!
I couldn’t even talk to the bus driver or the locals…
…I was so embarrassed and felt ashamed of myself.
Its not like I hadn’t been learning a bit…
I was learning, but I was learning wrong!

So in 2018 I made a decision
I said to myself “I’m gonna teach myself Spanish but I’m not gonna use DuoLingo because that's not working at all, so I need to find another way”

Why did it take me so long to make that decision to actually start learning?
Well its because I procrastinated, thinking it was going to be harder than it actually was.. that’s why I didn’t start.
